In simple terms arthritis is a common condition that many have to deal with on a day to day basis that causes pain and swelling in and around joints.
Causes often come about through
injury
digestive issues
bad diet or sensitivities to food
genetic makeup
emotional issues
infections
immune system issues
The most common types of arthritis are Osteoarthritis - often associated to wear and tear, and Rheumatoid - an auto immune dysfunction, which can often affect more than just the joints.
I was told over the phone by my doctor at the age of 31 that I had osteoarthritis in my C5 (neck). "You can take some ibuprofen when you feel pain or headaches coming on". this was the only solution. Having to hear something like this in my 30's without any support was a great shock to me. Back then, I thought it was an issue for the elderly, so it took me a long time to accept it.
As I realise now, it's inflammation, and my neck was aggravated by some of the causes above. While I know it's always going to be a weakness for me, kinesiology has drastically reduced the pain and headaches by addressing nutrition, emotional, and structural factors. I often forget there is or was a problem because it has literally changed my day-to-day life.
Supporting the bodies immune and digestive as well as nervous system can often be the answer to healing the arthritis as when the digestive system is not working well it "dumps" toxins in our bodies - joints and this build up causes inflammation.
