Do you have Low blood sugar?

Updated: Feb 28, 2022

Many people experience low blood sugar at a sub clinical level without realising it. Do any of these symptoms sound familiar?

Aches and pains, anxiety, behavioural problems in children, food sensitivities, fog brain, rapid heartbeat, lack of concentration, low energy, mood swings, headaches, restless, sleeping problems, tearful, weakness, and these are just to name a few.

All these symptoms can result from or be heightened by a low level of blood sugar.

Many people believe sugar gives us energy. It does but only for a short burst. As soon as the input exceeds the natural ability of a person to process it, absorb and utilise the plummet occurs. Low blood sugar is caused by the ingestion of too much sugar, salt, alcohol or refined carbohydrates in a short space of time. This causes the pancreas to produce more insulin and in turn causes the excess to be stored in the liver. Without addressing the imbalances this can lead to long term issues.

So here is the good news....

There are simple things that you can start today to help improve low blood sugar levels.

  • Eating at regular times and 3 meals a day

  • Protein snack mid morning and afternoon

  • Avoid or drastically reduce your sugar, intake (apart from fruit)

  • Avoid refined carbohydrates, (white bread, pasta, etc )

  • Avoid crisps and salted snack

  • Take supplements to support your blood glucose levels.

Within a kinesiology treatment we can test out food sensitivities, test your blood sugar levels for imbalances and if needed find the right nutritional support to help balance your levels, to reduce and clear the symptoms you are feeling. We can also assess your blood chemistry levels with a simple technique which has been proven to improve blood chemistry in a matter of minutes.
